MLG Pro Circuit Ladder
Update: Life after roster lock
By: Ken “Coach
Clutch” Johnson
With the rosters locked and playoffs on the way TGN’s Coach Clutch
looks at which teams are ready for the playoffs.
Like most ladder or leagues in
E-Sports today there is always a roster lock; a point in time in which teams
are no longer able to be created or can add/remove players from their team. The
MLG Pro Circuit Ladder is not different and as of this past Sunday teams rushed
to make sure they had their best four before the clock struck twelve. Most
teams made it and are playing hard to get the best possible seeding before the
playoffs start. Other teams that were in prime position have fell from that
spot and even a team which some thought could take it all is now out of the
running.
With a lose given to them from
Fatal Images it seems Under The Influence has broken up and was not able to get
four back on their roster before it was locked. Without four players you can
basically count UTI out for awhile until the next ladder. The good news for UTI
is that being one of the two teams at Level 14 and with their record of 84-7
they still have a chance to obtain seeding points depending on how far they
fall down the ladder. (The top 192 teams receive seeding points)
The fall of Under The Influence
marks the rise of the Halo 2 Pros who are making their run at a playoff berth.
Pain X (currently 4th) along with Bad Company (currently 5th)
and the very hot Str8 Rippin (currently 9th) who only has one lose
given to them by Fatal Images, the number one seed. Beyond the top 10 Type Z
(currently 14th) and one spot below them The Agency, all of which
are Halo 2 Pros proving that they can make the switch.

Other notable teams are Final Boss at 59th place
with a 17-2 record. Also Nice Like Rice who are 30-8 at the 43rd
spot along with Exit Woundz who are 26-4 sitting at the 32nd seed.
Last but not least at the 86th spot is Carbon with an 18-4 record.
With twelve days left until the ladder ends and playoffs start it is going to
be exciting to see how teams move up and down the ladder until the end.
