Go check out the NGL. They are running tournaments for Halo Reach, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Gears of War 3, Dota 2, League of Legends, HON, Quake Live, Street Fighter 4, Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
For the past year
we have been forming TGN Pro Teams in event cities across the nation. Each “TGN
Pro Team” consists of the top 5 teams from each event who will later face other
“TGN Pro Teams” from different cities. No money will be involved for the
upcoming Pro Games of 2008. But that’s all changing in the in 2009.
Starting with
TGN’s Battle of the Northeast in
February 2009, the top 6 teams from each event will form the given cities “TGN
Pro Team.” Teams ranking 7th-12th will enter the upcoming
semi-pro bracket. Aside from sponsorships, TGN Pro Teams will compete against
other Cities for the title of the Nation’s #1 GamingCity and Cash Prizes. All TGN Pro
Team games will be played via Xbox Live using our new ladder system on www.TheGamingNation.com[Thanks
goes out to Rob, a.k.a. Zero, for putting the new site together for us.]
2009 will also give rise to Online TGN Events. Some Events
will have an entry fee with cash prizes, while others will be free to all with
sponsorship prizes.
In the past, our
events typically went in the following order:
1st: Halo 3 FFA
2nd: Halo 3 2v2
3rd: Halo 3 4v4
4th: CoD / Guitar Hero
Starting this year, Halo 3 4v4 will be the 1st Event.
All teams will choose a player to play in a quick Free-for-all for seeding
purposes before the 4v4 matches begin.
