In a recent article from FileFront, an avid gamer expresses his joy and love for Halo 3 but then goes into saying that Halo 3 has spoiled the gaming community. He says gamers are spoiled by all of Halo 3's different game play modes.
- Single Player Campaign
- Split Screen Campaign
- Online Multiplayer
- Online Campaign Multiplayer
- Theater Mode
- Forge

While I agreed that Halo 3 has many different gameplay modes, I don't think that it spoils gamers. If anything online and other modes of play bring "replay value" to a game. Think about it, how many games have you pick up at Blockbuster on the weekend just to beat it in less than a week? It's getting outrageous how quickly games can be beaten, take "Bouncer" for example that game took 8 hours to beat Tops, and had very little to no replay value.
This is where the Halo series has established it's greatness. I beat Halo 3 in my first week of ownership, right after that I jumped into Halo 3 Online and was addicted for 2 weeks straight. Halo has the most replay value of any other game I've ever enjoyed. I still find myself picking up Halo 1 to play some Online action via: XBC
In my opinion Halo has not spoiled gamers, rather it has given gamers a reason to pay good money for a game that will last and be fun and enjoyable for years to come. I think that other developers need to be criticized for their inability to create games that have replay value.
