First details of the official Gears of War prequel have emerged in book form. Gears of War: A book being written by Steven L. Kent titled, Gears of War: The Pendulum Wars - The Battle of Aspho Fields. After the two rumoured release dates by Amazon and Amazon UK, it seems we finally have the first official details

 The books blurb (the text on the back) says it "builds upon the characters backstories and gives eager fans their first in-depth look at some of the past events that shaped the games world." Gears of War: The Pendulum Wars - The Battle of Aspho Fields is not out till August so we will keep you up to date!
