  • As Console / PC Gaming dwarf the Music & Movie Industry, Competitive gaming is becoming more accepted and is on the rise. The environment is 2nd to none & with 48 tv's & 360 consoles being used for the New York / N.J. event this one will be one of the best.
  • The $$ and Sponsorships: Earn a spot on Team New York and get sponsored. The top 5 teams from the 4v4, top 3 from the 2v2 and Final 4 from the FFA will form New Yorks 1st regional based Pro team. Profiles, Bio's and Pictures will be on the TGN Pro Teams page for every Team/Player who earns "Pro" status. Winners will be paid cash in full the day of the event.

  • Free Swag: Do the Dew! Mountain Dew has provided TGN NYC Open players a minimum of 2 Limited Edition Halo 3 Game Fuel Aluminum Bottles (which retails at $3 each, if you can find one). Dew has also sent Halo 3 tshirts and Hoodies to be given away as random prizes. In addition, the TGN will also be giving away a set of TOPPS Halo 3 cards, some Halo 3 hats, gift card(s) and other video game related swag.
  •   TGN New York ....  There will be a raised truss system, meaning there will be a raised platform in the center of the room for spectators and a "TD station." There will also be 2 LCD screens displaying selected games from Arena below.  Each station will have a TD or TD Runner to officiate, thus ensuring a quality experience. In order to ensure a Professional tournament, this event will last 2 days. Rather than reduce game timers or play until mid-night to finish the event, the event will cut off between 10pm-11pm and will resume at 10am Sunday.
  • Walk the Red Carpet! During an early TGN event, a team who flew in California came over to the TD station during free time and began chatting. The team was stating the fact they spent $900 just on air fare, plus hotel accomadations, food, etc... After pointing out the fact that even if they took the $1000 for 1st place it wouldn't cover the trip, the team gave me a confused look and replied, "Yea, but we can get the Glory of a win." This is the attitude many gamers have, in fact some gamers have told us "as long as we can beat 1 team, we will go home happy," and "We may not win, but we just want to kick someones ass, and it doesn't matter who,"
  • Meet interesting people, get beat by a Girl Gamer, forge new friendships, have fun: The Competitive Gaming Industry attracts players from all walks of life, from the streets to the geeks, and its not all guys either. Almost all TGN events have Lady Gamers attend. The recent Halo 3 Halloween event, in Nashville, brought in a few FINE ladies (one of whom was painted blue and dressed as Cortana). Lady gamers are not easily beaten, so do not expect an easy win if you encounter one. All ages & Skill levels attend TGN events and the environment will be kept so it is enjoyable.
