06-20-09: Colbert envisions Microsoft's hardware future I've got their next "next generation" system |
|
Word about Microsoft's new Xbox 360 motion control device, Project Natal, has had various
mainstream media outlets generating buzz over the last few weeks --including Jimmy Fallon.
For all the buzz surrounding Natal, however, there was one media heavyweight who had yet
to chime in with his definitive opinion on the device: Sir Dr. Stephen T. Colbert, D.F.A..
At least until last night. (In Yesterdays Colbert Report (on Comedy Central), Colbert finally
decided to share his thoughts on the "controller-less motion controller" during the Bears &
Balls segment of yesterday's Colbert Report. "At last, any child with a skateboard and the
skill to ride a skateboard no longer has to ride a skateboard,"

Colbert envisions Microsoft's hardware future. "It is time to invest in Microsoft, but not for Project Natal. That's already obsolete," remarked the Comedy Central host, continuing, "I've got their next "next generation" system, the Ex-Xbox... There's no controller,
no system, and no screen... Look at all the fun I'm having! I can't believe it's only $500."
Sure,
it doesn't quite fit in with what we've heard about Microsoft's next
console, but just look at fun poses... wonder what a Tournament looks
like using
the motion device?...
